Beautiful Strangers Masquerade Series ebook
Glenna Maynard has written a beautiful and compelling story that will reach your heart and soul on so many levels. I don't think I had been more excited to read a book than I was when I started reading Beautiful Strangers. I was completely blown away by this book, and to know that is a first in a series, just makes me even happier!
Grace isn't the typical "innocent and sweet" girl that you find in most romance novels. She is gritty and flawed. That is probably what I loved the most about her. She seemed "real" in the sense that she did have problems.
Grace was attending college to pursue her dreams of becoming a writer. Her plan became derailed when Evan Brown came into her life in what seemed to be a picture perfect way. He seemed too good to be true. As their relationship progressed, Grace's life changed, and she learned things about their past that where startling, and Evan had brought his drug filled ways into her lifestyle. She has to decide if she can get past these secrets and reconcile with Evan or move on completely with her life, but Evan doesn't give up so easily.
While working at Masquerade, the upscale burlesque club she dances at, Grace meets a handsome stranger that she feels an immediate pull to. The fact that both of them have to wear masks per club protocol makes the connection even more intense. This stranger is one of country music's biggest stars, Jaxson Hayes. Grace finds herself pulled into a passionate affair with Jaxson and even feels that she may be falling for him, and she is desperate to hide her drug addiction and sordid past with Evan from him, but Jaxson has his secrets too. Grace has to decide if she can forgive Evan for his past secrets, or if this new stranger will change everything.
While reading this book, I was constantly going back and forth with who I liked more. At times I was in love with Evan, and at other times, I really fell for Jaxson. I could really see Grace's dilemma. I had the hardest time choosing which one I wanted to win out in the end, but I did make my decision, and I was very happy at the ending...you're just going to have to figure that one out for yourself.
Glenna Maynard really had my jaw dropping at several points in this book as revelations were made and the roller coaster continued. It was hot, passionate, steamy and sexy. As I usually do while reading a great book, I wanted to yell and scream at the characters at times, and I wanted to cry with them too. I read this in one night, as I was unable to put it down. I look forward to reading more from Glenna Maynard. This book deserves more than 5 stars!

Great story line. I could feel myself as the characters like the characters were real. I really was torn between who I thought Gracie was and who she chose. Cant wait to read the next book by Glenna Maynard.
